The church, Saint Germain, has many important features, and offers expert guided tours during the summer months.

Don't miss the Chocolaterie Chatillon, which is most famous for its florentines, these being biscuits made of honey, almonds, orange and chocolate. You can visit the factory and see how the chocolate and associated products are made, and even sample a few local specialities!

Finistère is a wild and beautiful department, full of mysteries and legends, historical places and long held traditions. Although Pleyben lies right in the heart of the department, it is just over half and hour from the sea, and there are endless beautiful beaches and lively towns to find there.

Explore picturesque Douarnenez and vibrant Crozon

One of the best of these is Douarnenez, where picturesque charm of the town combines with the stunning and dramatic coast. Crozon, on the peninsula is lovely too, a really vibrant seaside town with old fashioned values! Quimper is always worth a visit, with a mediaeval quarter as well as all mod cons in the newer parts of town.

How to get there

To travel by air to Pleyben you can fly to Dinard or Brest direct from the UK. Dinard is served by Aurigny and Ryanair, while Brest is served by Flybe and Ryanair. If you prefer the ferry, the ports of Roscoff and St Malo are served by the excellent Brittany Ferries, while the other northern ferry ports are all within a straightforward drive of Pleyben. Drivers can access the town from the N164, then the D785.
