A world apart
Burgundy (or Bourgogne to the French) has remained virtually unspoilt over the years and hasn't really been touched by modernisation, leaving it with a very rural feel.

The best of France's culinary delights
Renowned for its fine wines as well as its cuisine (beef bourguignon, coq au vin and snails), the region is a hot spot for those wishing to sample its gastronomic delights.

Getting around
Burgundy is well situated with good communication links in the form of motorways and rail networks with Paris and other areas in both the north and south.

Restoration projects this way!
Despite Burgundy's many attractions, the region remains surprisingly unpopular with foreign buyers. Perhaps they are unaware that Burgundy is home to many inexpensive houses in need of restoration making it a home improver's dream.

Do you know Burgundy better than we do?

Department Guides to Burgundy

CÔTE-D'OR PROPERTY GUIDE   MAP
The Côte-d'Or is the premier department for fine wines from the Burgundy region such as Beaune, Nuits Saint Georges and Pouilly Fuisse. The area boasts many attractions to the foreign visitor but is still relatively undiscovered. It is still possible to find attractive properties for renovation at a good price.

NIÈVRE PROPERTY GUIDE   MAP
Nièvre is a glorious area of pasture, woodland and gracious lakes dotted with historic buildings. The wines of "Pouilly sur Loire" are globally recognised, the most famous being 'Pouilly Fumé'. The "Circuit des Vignobles" offers the chance to sample these delicious wines which are not included in the Burgundy appellation. Nearly 1,000 hectares of the department are planted mainly with the Sauvignon grape known as "blanc fumé" because of the smokey grey tinge of the grapes.

SAÔNE-ET-LOIRE PROPERTY GUIDE   MAP
