Le Cannet - picture perfect
The town of Le Cannet, which lies in the far south-east of France, is a picture perfect Riviera city overlooking the beautiful Bay of Cannes. Blessed with the fabulous Mediterranean climate of the region, the city positively oozes southern warmth and charm, with its old Italianate architecture, pretty narrow streets and a teeming life that encompasses artists, film stars, tourists and locals.

Le Cannet really does seem to be the town that has it all. From its sunshine record to its architecture, from its proximity to the beaches of the Riviera to its hilly Provençal backdrop, from its restaurants to its shops and art galleries, Le Cannet offers a treat for everyone. Calmer than its illustrious neighbour Cannes, Le Cannet nevertheless has everything you could require. It has a fantastic array of shops, including exclusive fashion boutiques and art shops where you can pick up a real bargain with unique works by local artists frequently on sale. Its restaurants are also of a very high standard.

Things to see in Le Cannet
Le Cannet has its fair share of cultural activities and historic sights. Take a look at the Chapel of Notre Dames des Anges, or the Saint Saveur Chapel with its decoration by Tobiasse. Enjoy the lovely old town itself, with its villas from the 1900s, and its sparkling fountains illuminating the sun drenched squares and shady corners. The town is known as a city of flowers, and the floral displays are always in evidence, enchanting and bewitching with their intoxicating scents and colours. In fact, Le Cannet has recently been awarded a local prize in recognition of the way in which the town has enhanced its already outstanding natural beauty.
