Gateway to the alps…and more
Bourg Saint Maurice is a lovely and traditional style town in the Savoie Department of the French Alps. The town is frequently seen as no more than a stopping point en route to the Alpine ski resort of Les Arcs, as it is here that the trains reach the end of their journeys to the Alps, offloading their passengers who are keen to make the transfer upwards to the resorts above the town. Bourg Saint Maurice, however, is more than just a railway station, useful though this may be! Its cobbled streets hark back to a gentler era and there are some truly lovely properties to be found in and around the town.

Buses run from Geneva Airport four times a day, so flying from the UK is an easy option, freeing you from the necessity of hiring a car to reach your destination. Bourg Saint Maurice also has a busy railway station with excellent links to Paris by TGV and to Waterloo by Eurostar.
