The market village of Mûr de Bretagne is located in the very heart of Brittany, in the south of the Côtes d'Armor department. For those who love art and history, there is the beautiful Chapelle Ste Suzanne, a lovely chapel that is not only worth viewing for its 18th century paintings found in the tower and on its ceilings, but also for its setting, at the end of an avenue of glorious oaks, which proved inspirational for the artist Carot.

Out and about
Those who love outdoor activities will love the possibilities suggested by the fabulous Lake Guerledan, which lies close to the village. Here you can partake in any number of water sports, from water skiing and sailing to swimming and fishing, or you may just want to simply chill out in the sun on the sandy beaches. Who says you have to go to the seaside for great swimming and beaches? Of course, if you do want to visit the seaside, there is no problem, as nowhere in Brittany is too far from the sea to enjoy a day out at the coast! There are many lovely towns and villages to visit in the region too, and the location of Mûr de Bretagne in the south of the department means that you are also close to the manifold attractions of the Morbihan department.

How to get there
If you like to fly, it is simple to take a flight to Dinard or Brest. Dinard is served by Aurigny and Ryanair, while Brest is served by flybe and Ryanair. Travelling by rail will take you to St Brieuc, and the excellent Brittany Ferries will get you to the port of St Malo, ideal for accessing Mûr de Bretagne.
