A selection of ten of the best properties for sale in France by the sea for 100,000 Euros

Dreaming of a house by the sea?

Many of us dream of owning a property beside the sea, ideally a place with sea views or one where we can walk out almost directly onto the beach. However, such properties are always expensive and even to purchase a house in a seaside town or within a short distance of the beaches can be a very costly business. Sadly, most of us give up the search, imagining that this is a dream that we can't afford to make come true, unless, of course, we happen to be among the lucky ones for whom money is not an object.

Property for sale in France by the sea

All is not lost, however. If you have approximately 100,000 Euros to spend, and you know the right places to look, that dream home beside the sea could actually be yours. Take a look at this selection of seaside properties at around that price that are currently on the market in France, and see if the one you have been dreaming of is there.

Brittany
Charming house in the heart of a village

108,000 Euros

Brittany is so well known and desired for its wonderful beaches and seaside towns, that you may be forgiven for thinking that a budget of around 100,000 Euros could not possibly buy a seaside property in Brittany. But you would be wrong. Although this property is up for sale at 108,000 Euros, with the economy in a state of confusion at the time of writing, a fast and sincere bid of a little less might just net you this fabulous new house in Saint Jacut de la Mer, on the beautiful Emerald Coast near to the thriving port town of St Malo. Even at the published price, the house represents fantastic value for money in an enviable location.

Almost finished, but with a little of the renovation work still to complete, the property comes to the market at a very reasonable price of 89,880 Euros. Poitou-Charentes
House to renovate in pretty estuary village

83,000 Euros

Strictly speaking, this one lies along the Gironde Estuary rather than near the sea, but as it is near a lively port town, with the sea, or to be accurate, the Atlantic Ocean just minutes away, the difference seems a moot point. This house (which has its own garden) needs total renovation, but as long as you are prepared to put in the effort it is a potential treasure.
