The Main Areas of the "French property" page...

This is the main page to find French property that is for sale. You can get to this page by clicking the
link numbered 1.
From the "French Property" page there are six
main ways to start your search. These are shown
numbered 2 -
7 and are explained below. You can
find property: 2 - By Location - Region, Town

2 - Find Property by Location - including Region, Town or Department
Some people know exactly where they want to be, others don't. Either way, you can use the links labelled 2. The links offer the following options:
- You can search throughout France for your dream property (all property on our site is shown here).
- You can search by region if you're familiar with an area, perhaps Burgundy if you're a wine buff, or the Rhône-Alpes if you're an ardent skier.
- You can narrow your search to find property by the department, perhaps in the Dordogne department of Aquitaine or in the Côtes-d'Armor department of Brittany.
- If you know the town where you'd like to live, having seen it on TV or read about it in the papers, you can refine your search further and search by town.

3 - Find Property by Type or Specific Features e.g. Needing Renovation
If you have specific requirements for your property, use the links labelled 3. Search for property with your precise needs in mind:
- You're a keen swimmer (or sun-worshipper!), you want a property with a swimming pool.
- You're after a renovation project, so that you can get the exact home you want and utilise your DIY skills at the same time.
- DIY is just not your thing. You want somewhere that needs no work at all and is ready to move into.
- You're a very keen skier, looking for a ski chalet with easy access to slopes.
- You need to work in France, so are looking for a commercial property or business such as a bar or restaurant.
- Do you hanker after space and fresh air? Why not search for property with land or land on its own?
- Are you a keen fisherman? Perhaps property with a lake on site would be of interest to you?

4 - Find Property by Price or Time on market
Are you are after a bargain property? Do you want to know what's come on the market recently? Use this section (labelled 4) to find the property for you:
- If this is to be a second home and you need to keep a close eye on cost, why not browse through the cheapest properties we have on our site?
- If money is no object and you're after a substantial property to accommodate family and friends, why not start your search by viewing the most expensive properties on our site?
- If you're in no hurry to buy in France, why not look at those properties which have been on the market for some time? A price reduction may well be on the cards.
- Be first in line by keeping up to date with the newest properties that have come onto the market.

5 - Find Property by Reference Number
If you want to retrieve a particular property's details, the quickest and easiest way is to use this section (labelled 5). As long as you've made a note of the property's reference number!

6 - Find Property by Region using quick links
If you know the region of France that you're looking for property in, use the two quick links labelled 6 on the picture above.

7 - Find Property by Selected Property Hotspots using quick links
If you want to search for property in popular areas of France, this section is for you. Properties in these "hotspot" areas are grouped by region, department and town, and can be found at the bottom left of the screen (labelled 7).

Once you've found a property or properties that you like the look of, you'll need to contact the seller for either more information, or to make an appointment to view.
