The town of Villeneuve lès Avignon lies in the south of France, in the department of the Gard amidst typically rocky Mediterranean landscapes. It lies on the opposite side of the River Avignon from its famous neighbour of the same name, and has so much to offer in terms of a rich history and heritage that it would be a shame to pass it by in favour of seeing the Avignon Bridge.

There is also an excellent TGV link as the town is located on the main Paris-Lyon-Nice-Italy line. Drivers can find the town easily from either the A7 or the A9 auto routes.
