And although this may not be as large as some of the Alpine resorts, the area is very good for all levels of skiers, and tends to be quieter, allowing you to spend more time on the piste and less time in the queue for the ski lift! Skiing isn't the only sport here, as in both summer and winter there are many activities to enjoy. You can play tennis, swim, go pony trekking, walk, rock climb or mountain bike... and much more besides. Even if your idea of heaven is less energetic, you will still be happily occupied in and around the town as the views are breathtaking and the welcome always warm.

(Shuttle buses are available from the station to the town centre during holiday season.) Drivers will find they can reach the town on the D618 after leaving the N116.
