Close to the lovely and vibrant city of Toulouse, in the south-west of France, Plaisance du Touch is situated in the Haute-Garonne department, and benefits from this idyllic location with its proximity to the Mediterranean and to the Pyrenean Mountains.

Plaisance also has some great facilities for those who like golf or horses... the town has a good golf course so you won't have to travel miles for your pastime (or passion, as many golfers would describe it!) and for horse lovers there is a very unusual equestrian facility called the Alternative World of the Horse. Here you can learn the art of western riding, or partake in an exciting discipline called the Trail which involves a real cross section of horsemanship skills.

Days out
The first place to visit on the agenda must be the exceptional African Safari Park at Plaisance. The young (and the not so young!) will love a trip to see the lions and other exotic species in virtual freedom and natural surroundings. Plaisance du Touch is in a great location for further exploration of a very interesting part of France. In under an hour and half you can be dipping your toes in the warm blue waters of the Med, or you could be whizzing down a mountain on skis in the snowy Pyrénées. In between, you have the gentle pleasure of the Canal du Midi, the dark secrets of the Cathar castles and a multitude of beautiful landscapes and picturesque towns and villages.

How to get there
It couldn't be easier to get to Plaisance du Touch, thanks to Toulouse airport which offers flights from the UK with British Airways, bmibaby, bmi, flybe and easyJet. Rail travel is also a great option, as there is a TGV stop at Toulouse which connects easily to the Eurostar in Paris.
