Dunkerque is a name that will always conjure up memories of extreme courage, and of the terrible tragedy of war. The town today, however, whilst never wanting to forget the events of 1940, is a forward thinking place of industry and commerce, of shopping sprees and holidays by the sea. Lying on the lovely Opal Coast in the north of France, it is a town well worth a little... or a lot... of your time.

LILLE PROPERTY GUIDE

Lille, the great city of the north and historic capital of Flanders, is now the capital city of the Nord department of northern France. Once a centre of the textile industry, the city has undergone massive rejuvenation in recent times, and today bears no comparison to the dark industrial place it was in times gone by. Thanks to local government funded programmes, it is a place of light and colour, of beauty, history and art.

SAINT OMER PROPERTY GUIDE
MAP
Saint Omer, a northern French town in the Pas de Calais, is notable for its history as a Jesuit training centre where it is alleged that the Gunpowder Plot was hatched in 1605. It's also known for the Audomarois marshes whose fertile peat bogs earn a living for some 70 farmers, and these in turn supply the town's market with local produce every Saturday.
