Noyant is a lively and cheerful small market town that lies in the north-west of France, in the Maine-et-Loire department in the Pays de la Loire region. The town is clean and attractive, offering plenty of activities and is also well located for access to the rest of the Loire Valley, with its elegant landscapes of chateaux and rivers, of green pastures and ordered vineyards.
The town offers a good range of shops and services, with a supermarket for those everyday needs, and lots of the little "artisanal" shops that give so much character and charm to French towns. There are banks and cash points, health services, a gendarmerie, pharmacies... all in addition to a superb Friday morning market that never fails to delight with its colourful stalls and wonderful fresh produce.
Noyant, like most French towns, is also proud of its cuisine and the local wines, so take a table in one of the several good bars or restaurants and enjoy... the local rosé is exceptional and perfect for summer drinking.
The town is a really great place for sports enthusiasts, as it has a public swimming pool, a large leisure centre, extensive playing fields and tennis courts. Around and about there are also many more activities to be found, with cycling, horse-riding, walking, fishing and golf all close to hand. Canoeing and other river sports are a big thing locally, so if this is your sport, take a look at the action that's on offer round here!
