For buying and selling property in Seynod
If there is a word that defines Seynod, it is purity. Seynod is renowned for its pure air and water, which is perhaps unsurprising as it lies in the French Alps, close to the border with Switzerland, and benefits from the fresh mountain air and the natural spring waters of this beautiful region. It is also a successful commercial centre as it occupies an important crossroads location, linking Switzerland, Italy, Germany and France.
Seynod lies next door to Annecy, the departmental capital of the Haute-Savoie, and has many of the same attributes as this better known beautiful Alpine town. The town of Seynod has increased considerably in size in recent times, as it has been fused with two other towns (Vieugy and Balmont) to form a larger urban area. Seynod offers a great lifestyle, with its clean healthy atmosphere and thriving business concerns, together with all mod cons and services. Visitors and residents have access to plenty of shopping and dining facilities in Seynod itself, and if you want to soak up the atmosphere of Annecy and the famous lake, it is only a stone's throw away!
Those who love all that the mountains can provide in the way of scenery and sporting fun, can hardly envisage a better place to base themselves than Seynod. Close to the ski resorts and fantastic landscapes of the Alps, yet never isolated or lacking in amenities, Seynod provides the best of both worlds. It is peaceful, has beautiful scenery and French Savoyard culture and easy access to Switzerland and Italy to boot!
Skiing isn't the only sport in town, so don't miss out on a visit to Seynod's renowned water centre where you can swim to your heart's content or laze around in a luxurious jacuzzi. In the summer you can try mountain biking, rock climbing or water sports, whereas winter brings all the snow-laden opportunities you would expect, with access to the best ski resorts and snow parks of the Alps. Oh, and for the young... or the young at heart, there is a roller skate park too!
To reach the town you have a few choices. You can, of course, drive, but it is a long journey so be prepared! Train travel is a good option, as Eurostar run a ski express service to the nearby towns of Bourg St Maurice and Moutiers, enabling you to travel direct from the UK. If flying is the only way forward for you, however, you need to choose between landing at Lyon, St Etienne or Geneva. Lyon is served by British Airways, Air France, bmibaby, easyJet and bmi; St Etienne by Ryanair; and Geneva by British Airways, easyJet, flybe, Jet2 and Aer Lingus.
Alpine property is not known for being particularly cheap, but if you want a base in the Alps then you could do worse than take a look at what's on offer in Seynod. Less expensive then some of the better known towns and resorts, yet with an excellent location and facilities, Seynod has a lot to offer.
