For those who are happy with less extensive skiing and prefer gentler slopes, Peisey has its own charming ski area.
The nearest airport is at Chambéry, which is served by flybe, Jet2 and Astraeus. However there are several other airports you could consider if you need a wider choice of airline or departure point, and these include Lyon, St Etienne, Geneva and Grenoble. Lyon is served by Air France, British Airways, easyJet and bmi; St Etienne by Ryanair; Geneva by British Airways, Air France, easyJet, flybe, Jet2 and Aer Lingus; and Grenoble by Ryanair and easyJet. Bourg Saint Maurice is the nearby station for the Eurostar ski special train that brings you all the way from the UK, so rail travel is another great choice. Drivers will find Peisey from the N90.
