For buying and selling property in Bourseul
The location of Bourseul, in the heart of the Breton countryside, is tranquil and unspoilt, and the area around the village is filled with interesting places to go and fun activities. Bourseul has a beautiful and historic watermill that just has to be seen at Pont Loyer. The mill dates back to the early 19th century, and is still in very good condition. The names of an important family of Bourseul can be seen there. The mill is on the River Arguenon. Many of the nearby towns and villages are also rich in heritage. Look for churches, chapels, and stone crosses, many of which can be found dotted around the countryside. History can turn up in unexpected places in Brittany!
Bourseul doesn't have a lot in terms of shops and amenities, but there is a small general store, a bakery and a tabac. There's also a small bar/restaurant. However, you don't have to trail for miles to find much larger shops and services offered. The nearby town of Plancoet (just a five-minute drive away) offers a supermarket, a number of smaller shops, a great selection of restaurants and a Saturday street market.
There are endless opportunities to enjoy days out within a short dive of Bourseul. One not to miss is a visit to Dinan. Dinan is a mediaeval jewel of a town, walled, fortified and quaint as they come. It also has a bustling river port from which you can take boat rides along the picturesque River Rance. Then there are great beaches at Dinard and St Malo, in addition to the latter town's historic quarter and excellent shopping and dining facilities. Just a little further away, but not much more than an hour's drive, is the fabulous sight of the UNESCO listed Mont St Michel Island Abbey.
Activities include golf (several good courses within very easy reach), sailing, swimming and sunbathing at the leisure lake at Jugon les Lacs , sea and beach sports at the coast, horse-riding, walking and cycling.
The village is only a short drive from both the airport of Dinard (35 minutes) and the ferry port of St Malo (45 minutes), making it really easy to get to from the UK. The nearest major road is the N176.
Property in and near to the little village of Bourseul will appeal to all who want an easy to reach holiday home. And property around Bourseul often represents better value for money than that in the nearby and better known towns.
