The historic village of St Carreuc lies amid the beautiful forests of the Côtes d'Armor department of Brittany in the north-west of France. The village has origins dating back to the 13th century, when it is recorded as being called "Sanoti Karooi". St Carreuc has plenty to recommend it to property seekers from the UK, as it is perfectly situated for ease of access, with Dinard's airport and St Malo's ferry port near to hand as well as a good road network for those who prefer to drive from Calais.
A village with a history as long as that of St Carreuc always offers historical sites and points of interest, and St Carreuc is no exception. Make time to discover the various ancient stone crosses, the lovely chapel and church, the traditionally constructed stone village houses and the Château du Plessix, at whose noble feet the village sits.
St Carreuc is small and rural, but there is a real village heart beating here. In and close to the village you can enjoy the services of excellent amenities such as shops, bars and restaurants. Agriculture is of prime importance to the economic life of St Carreuc, and you will find a predominance of associated products for sale here.
St Carreuc is close to many major towns such as St Malo, St Brieuc and Dinan, so you could be spoiled for choice when it comes to organising days out or just planning shopping trips!
