Its setting means that not only are all the attractions of the Haute-Vienne on hand, but the Dordogne and the Charente are also easily accessible. Champsac is very much a rural village, so you won't find hypermarkets and nightclubs there! But it is quite well equipped, and offers a baker's, a butcher's, a bar/restaurant and a hairdresser's. You don't have to travel far to find larger towns with more facilities, and even the regional capital of Limoges is only 40 minutes away. The village church is worth a visit, built in Romanesque style.
Champsac is well placed when it comes to finding activities to enjoy. Locally you can play golf, try lake and river sports, play tennis or basketball, follow fascinating heritage walking trails and walk or cycle the Voie Verte path.

The nearest airport to Champsac is at Limoges. TGVs also travel here, for those who prefer rail travel. If driving, the village, which is situated on the D66, can be accessed from the N21 non toll motorway.
