The village has historic monuments, a gorgeous arcaded square and good small town amenities too. So it's the perfect place to put down new French roots or to spend quality time on your holidays.
It's only a village, but it's very well equipped. There's a small supermarket for everyday requirements, plus a pharmacy, a bank and a post office. Then there are bars, restaurants and boulangeries! If you need more shops and services you can always pop along to nearby Cahors, the famous wine town, where you'll find much, much more.
The beautiful village centre is arcaded in the old bastide style, and really is delightful. Other points of interest in Castelnau Montratier include a chateau, a listed church, Gallo Roman remains and three windmills.
