The city is proud of its creative flair, and in 2001 it won a prestigious award from the National Academy of Street Arts. Architecturally, the city offers Gothic styling (its cathedral and stunning town hall) and Art Deco (in various places in the city where this style was used to rebuild areas which had been destroyed). Saint Quentin has plenty of art galleries and museums, and also two fabulous venues for the performing arts. These stage performances range from opera and classical concerts to theatre, comedy, modern dance and ballet.
